# Disabling Shopify's default abandon cart email

Shopify enables a standard abandon cart recovery email when you create your store. If you use Pop Convert's Abandon Cart Flow, you'll want to disable Shopify's default abandon cart email to prevent duplicate emails from going out to your customers.

Steps to disable Shopify Abandon Cart Email
1. Navigate to your Shopify Admin Panel.
2. Click “Settings”.
3. Click “Checkout”.
4. Scroll to Abandoned checkout emails
5. Uncheck the box labeled Send abandoned checkout emails automatically
